"Submerged Wonders: Exploring the Depths of Submarines"

OceanGate's Titan submarine started its journey from the Saint John Port Canada. At the same point, beneath lies the shipwreck of the titanic in the depths of ocean. Saturday , 17th June 2023 was day the journey was scheduled. According to plan it was supposed to launched at 8:00 AM on Sunday. Okay so let me tell you here that there was a problem noticed in Titan before the dive. And offcource the problem was ignored. If it wasn't ignored then I could have not been narrating this story.

Welcome to "Exploring the depth" , a captivating blog that will take you onto the exciting journey into the fascinating realm of submarine. Embark on an underwater as we delve into the intricate world of these remarkable vessels, uncovering their history , technology, operations and unique challenges, and the problem they conquer beneath the waves.

Join me as we dive headfirst into the mysteries of deep blue, where submarine region supreme. "exploring the depth " promises to be an engaging and informative space for all those captivated by the enigmatic world that lies beneath the waves. So fasten your seatbelts. or rather secure your hatches as we embark on this riveting adventure together .

SO OKAY HERE I KNOW MOST OF YOU MIGHT BE KNOWING ABOUT THIS BUT TO KNOW MORE CLEARLY AND DEEPLY KINDLY GO THROUGH THIS.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

So total 5 people were on the trip :
1. HAMISH HARDING (Founder of ocean aviation)
2. STOCKTAN RUSH (CEO of  OceanGate)
3. PAUL HENRI (Expert of Shipwrecks)
4. SHAHZADA DAWOOD (Pakistani Business Tycoon)
5. SULEMAN SAWOOD (Son of Shahzada)

On 17th June, Hamish had made his last post saying that their dive has been delayed due to cold weather and tomorrow we will dive as per the weather allow us. These 5 people where going too see the wreck of  Titanic. After sinking in 1912, efforts to find it continued for several years. Titanic had left so many questions behind that it was time to find the answers. Canadian Filmmakers James Cameron made dozens of tours of the Titanic Wreck in 1995 and then the iconic movie "TITANIC" was released in 1997.

It is believe that going to the depths of the ocean is even more challenging than that of traveling to the Space, And the biggest , hardest reason is the "pressure of the water". Titanic shipwreck is around 4km below the sea level i.e. around 5 times lower than the height of Burj Khalifa in the sea. And let me tell you pressure here is around 5,800 psi enough to destroy human body.

Well  on Sunday 18th June  2023, the submarine journey started at 12 noon. Normally it takes about 2 hours to reach the titanic, but after an hour and 45 mins the mother ship "POLAR PRINCE" which was waiting above, lost the contact with the submarine. If it was supposed to take 2 hours to reach and it losses its contact just 15 mins earlier clearly indicates the submarine might be much closer to the Titanic. And it impossible for sunlight to reach this depth of the ocean. It is very much normal for the wireless signal to break at such a depth . Initially this matter wasn't taken too seriously.
The entire trip was a total of 7 hours i.e. from 12 noon to 7 in the evening, the crew aboard the mother ship started getting more anxious. Canadian research vessel Polar Prince started searching for titan .At 9:40 they contacted the US coast guard and asked for help. The next day, Monday US and Canadian ships and planes started a search operation in the entire area, Search was also conducted under water with the help of Sonar scanning search continued till 2 days but there was no trace of  Titan found.

On Wednesday 21st June at 6 in the morning the team heard some noises from the depths of the water. The sound was of underwater radars. Immediately ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) were sent in the direction of the sound , but no news was found. The amount of oxygen in the submarine was only for 96 hours i.e. for around 4 days . And by that time already 3 out 4 days were passed.
The search teams of US , Canada and France did not give up. On Thursday 22nd June at 12 noon, ROV's were sent to the wreck of the Titanic and saw part of the Titan's tail lying only 1,600feet away from the Titanic . This only means that the submarine could not withstand the pressure of the water and imploded in the depths of the ocean.

OceanGate's CEO said in 2021 that he knew he had broken some rules while making Titan. Because he made the Titan not from steel but from Aviation GRADE CARBON  FIBER. For the 1st time, before launch, Titan was tested at pressure of 5,000 to 10,000 PSI which it had . However experts believe that there are thousands of different forces that impact submarines in which not only pressure but also flow of water which is created due to waves. Additionally due to the darkness it is also possible that a heavy rock or a sea creature may have hit the submarine. And one reason for Titan's demise was its carbon fiber hull. However another reason was the presence of pre existing cracks in it.
In 2019, the titan submarine also carried a businessman named Karl Stanley. He mentioned that during the trip as they were descending he heard a cracking sound coming from Titan's hull. He told  to CNN that the sound might have been a warning that the Titan's body could not withstand the pressure of the water.  In 2018 an OceanGate's executive spoke out against Titan's carbon fiber body. Their statement was that this issue would only become evident a few milliseconds before the implosion of submarine and in reality. that's exactly what happened. where Titan imploded, experts believe that it would have just taken only about 0.3 sec for it to collapse.

So as we stepped back onto solid ground , we carried with us the memories of our time in the submarine's embrace. The ocean's siren call would forever echo in our hearts, beckoning us to return someday and continue our exploration of the world's final frontier. Until then, I remained grateful for the privilege of glimpsing the secrets held by the deep sea, forever bound by my shared adventure beneath the waves.
